DROGHE IN EU - Consumo di droghe in Ue, in aumento eroina ed ecstasy
Non più soltanto una droga per sballarsi in discoteca, l'ecstasy è sempre più usata dai giovani e in contesti diversi da quelli abituali. L'annuncio arriva dal rapporto annuale dell'Osservatorio europeo sulle droghe e la tossicodipendenza. L'istituto basato a Lisbona lancia anche l'allarme per Paesi Bassi e Belgio, dove il consumo di ecstasy e Mdma ha raggiunto oggi livelli preoccupanti.

India sempre più nuova locomotiva d'oriente. Il trimestre gennaio-marzo, che chiude l'anno fiscale 2015-2016, ha fatto registrare un incremento del Pil del 7,9%, in ulteriore progresso rispetto al 7,2% del trimestre precedente e di oltre un punto superiore alla crescita cinese.

OLAF, nel 2015 888 mln di euro di frodi
Cattivo usi dei fondi strutturali, abuso di ufficio e veri e propri casi di corruzione all'interno delle istituzioni, l'Ufficio Europeo anti-frode, OLAF, si occupa dal 1999 di indagare sulle condotte che possano arrecare danni al bilancio europeo. EGYPTAIR - l'aereo lanciò segnale d'emergenza poco prima dell'impatto
L’Airbus A320 dell’EgyptAir precipitato il 19 maggio nel Mediterraneo ha inviato un segnale d’emergenza dopo essere scomparso dai radar. La conferma arriva dalle autorità egiziane che indagano sul mistero del velivolo con 66 persone a bordo mentre era in volo da Parigi al Cairo. Secondo un quotidiano britannico, il servizio di informazione statale egiziano ha fatto sapere che gli investigatori hanno ‘‘ricevuto indicazioni satellitari che dimostrano una chiamata lanciata dal trasmettitore d’emergenza’‘. L’aereo è scomparso dai radar alle 2,29 ora locale e alle 2.36 è stato lanciato il segnale. Le coordinate fornite sono state utili per individuare la zona nella quale avviare le ricerche. Gli investigatori stanno ora cercando le scatole nere a una profondità di tremila metri in una zona a 290 chilometri a nord della costa egiziana. Gli esperti che indagano sul disastro hanno fatto sapere che sarà necessaria più di una settimana per recuperare le ‘‘scatole nere’‘ del velivolo.

Eighteen women in Germany have filed complaints to police saying they were sexually assaulted at a musical festival in Darmstadt. Police arrested three refugees from Pakistan at the scene after three of the women immediately reported their attacks. The sexual assaults are reported to have taken place at the Schlossgrabenfest music festival in the city of Darmstadt, near Frankfurt, on Saturday night. Three of the women immediately alerted police at the festival that they had been assaulted. UKRAINE - Nursing home fire kills 17
In Ukraine, 17 people have been killed after a fire broke out at a nursing home for the elderly near Kiev.
Eighteen others were rescued from the building in in the early hours of Sunday morning - five were hospitalized with burns. Police say the owner of the facility has been arrested.
"A fire occurred in a privately-owned two-storey building which was used as illegal temporary housing for elderly people," Mykola Chechetkin, Head of Ukraine's emergency services said.

A German MP was hit in the face with a chocolate cake on Saturday, apparently in protest at her stance on refugees. Sahra Wagenknecht was targeted at a congress of her far-left Die Linke Party in the city of Magdeburg.
She was sitting in the front row during the opening speech when a young man stopped in front of her and threw the chocolate cream cake in her face, before shouting what sounded like slogans. A self-styled 'anti-fascist' group said it was behind the attack.

A special zoo response team at the Cincinnati Zoo shot and killed a 17-year-old gorilla Saturday that grabbed and dragged a four-year-old boy who fell into the gorilla exhibit moat, the zoo's director said. Authorities said the boy, who fell more than three meters, is expected to recover after being picked up out of the moat and dragged by the gorilla for about 10 minutes. TURKEY - Outrage over Turk masturbating on sleeping woman on the bus
There has been public outrage in Turkey after an employee at one of the country’s largest bus companies was caught masturbating on a sleeping passenger. The victim says it reflects "the oppressive environment against women” in the country.
During a journey from Muğla to İstanbul on Tuesday, a Metro Turizm bus assistant identified only by the initials C.G. is reported to have started masturbating beside a woman, known only as C.D., while she was asleep in the vehicle.
